In 2027, start-ups is going to create more than 60 lakh jobs
in India not only in big cities, but also in small cities like Imphal,
Guwahati, Kohima and Shillong. Many young people from Manipur are now making
startups in handloom, organic farming, tourism and food delivery and they are
earning from home and giving jobs to local people.
Unicorns will be growing fast in 2027. India now has more
than 130 unicorns. Unicorn means company worth more than $1 billion. For instance,
companies like Zepto, Zerodha, OYO, BYJU'S, and many EV companies are unicorns
now. In 2027, 20 new unicorns will.come from tier-2 and tier-3 cities. This
shows that talent is everywhere, not only in Bangalore.
Government help is something big in 2027. Start-up India
will give funding, tax benefit and easy registration. Mudra loan will help
small start-ups to get Rs 10 lakh loan without guarantee. In Manipur also,
state government gives start-up support of Rs 5 lakh to young entrepreneurs and
many students from Manipur University have started small start-ups with this
help.
Technology is helping start-ups in 2027. AI, ONDC, UPI and
5G have made business very easy. A small pickle seller from Imphal can now make
a website in one day, take payment by UPI, and sell to Delhi through ONDC
delivery. No big money needed. Just mobile phone and idea.
But still challenges will still be there in 2027. Funding may
be less for Northeast start-ups. Investors mostly go to Bangalore and Delhi.
Many start-ups fail in first year because of no proper guidance. We need more
mentors and start-up events in Imphal and Northeast. Internet is good now but
we need more co-working spaces and start-up hubs in Manipur.
Start-up India is not going to be just about business in 2027,
but it is about confidence. Young India is not looking for government job only.
They want to make their own company and give jobs to others. From a small
organic tea start-up in Ukhrul to a big AI start-up in Hyderabad, every start-up
is building new Bharat. If we keep supporting our youth, Bharat will become start-up
superpower before 2030.
